Team Info

District 200 has sponsored high school swimming and diving since 1998, when a co-op girls' team from Wheaton North and Wheaton Warrenville South High Schools was formed. A similar co-op boys' team was formed in the fall of 2000.
Since that time, swimmers and divers in District 200 have trained and competed at the Wheaton College Chrouser Aquatics Center. The team is a member of the DuPage Valley Conference, and competes in dual meets, invitationals, and the IHSA Sectional / State tournament.

Jason Maddux

Head Coach

Wheaton North is excited to introduce Jason Maddux as our new Head Coach for both Boys and Girls Swim Co-op.

Jason Maddux is a former Wheaton North Wheaton College alumni who began swimming for the Wheaton Co-op in its freshman year. An accomplished swimmer at both WNHS and Wheaton College, after graduation, he started his coaching tenure as a volunteer for the Wheaton Co-op, later joining the Wheaton Swim Club staff in 2008. His 11 year coaching career has spanned the Glenbard Co-Op as well as downstate in Champaign, IL. Named Coach of the Year by the News-Gazette for two consecutive seasons, he led 15 IHSA State qualifiers, and won two sectional titles.

Jason is an excellent addition to our coach staff at Wheaton North/Wheaton South. His experience as a swimmer, his extensive coaching experience specifically with the co-op, brings familiarity and knowledge to a program that had big shoes to fill. We look forward to Jason making this transition seamless.

Jason has had the privilege of learning the sport of swimming from some of the best coaches in the state of Illinois, including Jacob Ayers, Jon Lederhouse, Chris del Galdo, and Bob Strube.

Jason will begin teaching Sophomore/Junior English at Wheaton Warrenville South High School this fall. Jason and his wife Anna currently live in St. Joseph, Illinois, but will be relocating to the Wheaton area in the near future. We welcome them to our faculty and coaching staff.

Meet Schedule

All athletes must ride the team bus/van to all away meets.  Athletes who miss the bus are ineligible to compete in that meet, except under very rare circumstances.  Athletes may ride home with a parent or guardian with a written note only, or by a having a parent speak directly with a coach at the end of a meet.  Athletes may not transport themselves to or from meets under any circumstances.

We encourage as many fans to attend our meets as possible.  It is community support and spirit which makes our sport exciting!  Parents usually sit together at meets and wear team shirts to help cheer the team on.
